Squirting and cumming are both sensations that many people worldwide want to experience at least once (or twice, or a gazillion times😉).

With good cause!…

With both sensations bringing extreme, bone-numbing, heart-racing pleasure, who wouldn’t want a taste of paradise? Am I right?

While squirting and cumming are considered releases that occur while performing sexual acts, they’re vastly different.

In this article, we’ll look at what squirting and cumming are and how both sensations are achieved. I’ll also give you some nifty tips to try to get your squirting and cumming game on so you can experience more intense pleasure than ever.

Sound good?

Let’s dive in!

What is squirting?

Squirting is a form of female ejaculation for people with vaginas. It happens when fluid is discharged from the Skene’s Glands, loosely referred to as the “female prostate.”

The amount of ejaculation can range anywhere from 0.3ml–150ml. That’s anything between a few drops to half a cup. To date, the nature and origin of squirting remain controversial. Regardless, many women agree that the sensation is incredible.

There are mainly three types of squirting:

  • Clitoral squirting
  • G-spot squirting
  • Clitoral and g-spot squirting

While most women squirt through g-spot stimulation, others can experience it through pure clitoral stimulation. Experimenting with different techniques is the only way to learn how you squirt.

Some women find it extremely difficult to squirt. This is because the sensation one gets before squirting is similar to the feeling you get when you have to pee. As a result, they end up “blocking” the squirting from happening since they’re afraid they’ll wet the bed.

This is precisely why squirting is considered more mental than physical. If you can get past the block and allow your body to release, you’ll be able to reach that blissfully-sweet peak.

What is cumming?

Cumming, otherwise known as an orgasm or climax, happens when a person reaches the height of sexual arousal.

When you cum, the pressure in your body and genitals is released. This creates muscle contractions in the genital and anal areas, ultimately creating an otherworldly sensation that many people describe as pure bliss.

At the point of bliss, vulva owners may ejaculate a clear-white liquid, while penis owners may ejaculate fluid from their penises, called semen.

You can orgasm through masturbation or by performing sexual acts with a partner. For most women, orgasms are reached through clitoral stimulation rather than vaginal stimulation.

What are the main differences between squirting and cumming?

While squirting and cumming are sensations that many people strive to experience, they’re very different. The main differences between squirting and cumming are:

The way it’s achieved

All genders can experience orgasms.

For people with vaginas, orgasms are mainly achieved through stimulation of the clitoral head. That’s the small bud at the top of the vulva. The sensation can be achieved by rubbing the bud with a hand, sex toy, or — my personal favourite — a cheeky tongue😏.

Some women can experience an orgasm through vaginal stimulation (i.e., vaginal penetration — stimulating the internal part of the clitoris), but this is far less common.

For people with penises, this peak is reached by stimulating the penis head, shaft, and base with the help of a hand, mouth, vagina, or sex toy.

On the other hand, female squirting occurs in most women when the g-spot is stimulated with the help of a penis, fingers, and vibrators. It doesn’t often happen through external stimulation alone — unless you’re one of the lucky ones who can squirt through stimulation of the clitoral glans.

The sensation

You’ll know you’re having an orgasm when you feel a very intense, pleasurable sensation in your lady bits and throughout your body. It could feel kind of like a sneeze, or waves of rolling warmth. Chances are good that your vagina will also get VERY wet just before or during your orgasm. Although that doesn’t always happen.

On the other hand, the sensation of squirting often feels more like a deep release. Many women describe it as feeling like you’ve just let go of intense pleasurable pressure. Although some don’t even notice it happening at all. You may also feel a warm sensation as the liquid squirts out of you.

Best tips for squirting

Here are some tips you can try to help you squirt — either with self-love or with a partner.

1. Get the bed ready… for some INTENSE action

Squirting can be pretty intimidating. Not just because it’s more mental than physical but also because it tends to release more fluid than an orgasm does.

As a result, this leaves women feeling scared that they’ll make a mess on the bed. But you don’t have to be afraid. Everything will be alright, I promise!

So how can you overcome this fear?

You can easily overcome this by getting the bed ready beforehand.

Cover the part of the bed where you’re lying with a towel, waterproof sheet, or equivalent. This way, you’ll feel more” relaxed” (knowing you won’t have washing to do afterwards) and will be more likely to let go.

2. Start by focusing on the clit

You’ll get yourself turned on by giving much-needed attention to your vulva and external clit first — priming your g-spot area for play. You can do this with your hand, your partner’s mouth, or even a sex toy.

After clitoral stimulation, you can move on to the g-spot – which is the internal structure of the clitoris. Again, the g-spot can be stimulated using fingers, a penis, or sex toys (such as vibrators or dildos). Regardless of what you’re using, it should be angled upwards (towards your tummy).

3. Use different toys

Toys can work magic when it comes to squirting.

This is especially true when you pick a toy with some length and a slight upwards curve that can easily access your g-spot. Remember to add lubricant to the sex toy so it slides in easily into your vaginal opening and creates a delicious wet sensation.

You can make the experience even more pleasurable by playing with temperature. Let the toy sit in warm or cold water for a few minutes before using it.

4. Control your pelvic muscles

As mentioned earlier, you’ll probably know you’re close to squirting when you start feeling the sensation of needing to pee. That’s when you need to put your pelvic muscles to good use.

Instead of tightening your pelvic muscles, you should push out — as if you’re pushing to pee. This may not be easy at first, but the more you practice, the easier it’ll get.

Best tips for cumming

Here are some tips for having more — and better — orgasms.

1. Get into the right position

As mentioned earlier, most women orgasm through clitoral stimulation. Thus, it’s essential that you choose a position where your clit has friction. This can be friction from:

  • Your partner’s pelvic bone or thigh when you’re having sex.
  • A toy when you’re lying down on your back or standing.
  • Your partner’s tongue while you’re lying on your back, standing upwards, or sitting on their face😉.

Also, ensure that your position is comfortable so you can stay there until your bone-numbing release comes.

2. Make sure there’s A LOT of foreplay

Like with most sex acts, foreplay is key. It’ll get you hot, panting, and ready for more. On top of that, it’ll also prime you with natural lubricant to experience better sensations.

Foreplay is excellent for keeping your head in the game (or, more specifically, in the bedroom). If you’re prone to daydreaming or wandering thoughts, focus on a single sensation during foreplay.

The feeling of your partner’s hands moving against you, the taste of their lips kissing you, or even the smell of their skin. This will intensify your arousal and build you up for a more intense orgasm.

3. Have a second orgasm because… WHY NOT?

Women are lucky since we can have multiple orgasms in a row. So, why not push forward toward your second peak?

After your first orgasm, wait for a few seconds or minutes, and then have your partner stimulate your clit manually or orally to build you up again.

Ready to experience maximum bliss?

Squirting and cumming are VERY different — yet extremely pleasurable in their own ways. You won’t know what you like until you try both.

Whether on your own or with a partner, try implementing the tips in this article to experience incredible sensations that’ll leave you panting from pleasure.
