Did you know that your clit has 8,000 nerve endings?

That’s A LOT of nerve endings for you to rub, stimulate, and pinch.

Not only will using clit clamps make your clit swollen and throbbing with need, but it’ll also increase your chances of having mind-numbing orgasms — every single time.

That being said, using clit clamps can be pretty tricky, so you need to make sure that you follow the proper steps.

In this article, I’ll explain exactly what a clitoris clamp is, who it’s ideal for, and how you can use it to reach maximum levels of pleasure.

What are clit clamps?

A clitoral clamp, otherwise known as a clit clip, or pussy clamp, is one of many BDSM toys where pain meets pleasure — giving potent, highly stimulating sexual experiences.

Like a nipple clamp, a clit clamp is designed to apply pressure and restrict blood flow. But, instead of being worn on your nipples, it should be worn on your clit.

Wearing it creates pleasurable pressure against your clit, and once removed, all the blood rushes back.

Needless to say, the stimulation of these 8,000 nerve endings will prepare you for some wildly intense, out-of-this-world orgasms.

That being said, simply wearing the clit clamp might not be enjoyable in itself. It’s way more about the pleasure you’ll feel AFTER removing it. You’ll feel new levels of pleasure when your partner goes down on you, during penetrative sex, or any other type of stimulation you enjoy.

Who are clit clamps great for?

Clit clamps are excellent foreplay tools. While they aren’t for everyone, if you enjoy BDSM (even just a little), chances are good you’ll LOVE clit clips.

They’re great for adding tonnes of sensation to your foreplay and give the perfect amount of sting — without being overly painful.

What should you know before using a clit clamp?

Even though clit clamps are intended to restrict blood flow to your clit, they’re NOT designed for pain. You might not have placed it in the right spot if it feels painful.

It may initially feel unusual as your body gets used to the sensation. But, after a while, it should start feeling more pleasurable as your body gets adjusted to it. Also, take the clamp off immediately if you start feeling extreme numbness or pain down there.

How to use clit clamps the right way

Here’s how you use clit clamps to ensure maximum pleasure.

1. Start slow

If you’re new to clit clamps and you want to avoid getting a shock down below, you can try using it in a less sensitive area, such as your earlobe or fingertip first.

This will allow you to get used to the type of sensation it provides and give you a better idea of what you can expect in terms of the power and pressure the clamp creates.

Only once you’re used to the clamp’s power should you move on to the clitoris.

2. Get aroused first

Like with all other sexual acts, prep is KEY when it comes to genital clamps.

Before you get the clamp anywhere near your precious parts, you must ensure you’re aroused and wet. You can achieve this by using a clitoral gel, your fingers or a vibrator, or your partner can perform oral sex to get you hot and ready.

This is a vital step since it’ll make your clit swell, making it easier to get the clamp in the correct position for the best sensation.

3. Consider clamp rules

Follow the same rules as you would for any other type of clamps. These include:

  1. Make sure you use some lube, as this will intensify the comfort and sensation for the wearer. It’ll help the clamp slide into place much easier. (Water-based lubricant is a great choice).
  2. Don’t leave the clamp on for longer than 10 minutes before you take it off, and give your body a break. You don’t want to numb the clitoris. Instead, you want to intensify the sensation by limiting the blood flow for a little while.

4. Consider the TYPE of clamp you’re using

There are three main types of clitoris clamps:

1. Slide-to-Fit Beaded Clamp

This design has a large tear-drop gap at the top, where your clit should be. The middle portion with the two long arms is intended to clamp the labia. And finally, as a bonus, you get the beads at the bottom that’ll tickle your perineum and give you extra stimulation.

A slide-to-fit clamp can also come with a clitoral chain which can be tugged on slightly to intensify the sensation.

Keep in mind that this type of clit clamp isn’t ideal for penetrative sex as the arms may get in the way. However, it’s excellent for self-play, foreplay, or even oral sex.

2. Tweezer Clit Clamp

Tweezer clamps are true to their name as they have a similar design to the tweezers you’d use to pluck your eyebrows.

But, rest assured, these tweezers are far sexier and way more fun to play with😉.

The top section of the clamp is intended for your clit. Close to the bottom, you’ll see a ring that you can slide up the arms to hold it shut. How far you slide it up the ring will determine how tight the pinch on your clit is.

This clitoris clamp is ideal for penetrative sex and can also be used during foreplay, masturbation, or oral sex.

Pro Tip: If you’re game for trying the tweezer design clit clamp, try finding one that has silicone pinchers (like the image above). This will decrease the pinch of the clamp just a little bit to be gentler on your sensitive area.

3. Crocodile Clamp

The crocodile clamp has tips at the top, which are designed to do the pinching with a lever at the back that opens the tips. Make sure to clamp behind the clitoris and not directly on it.

Many crocodile clamps have a twist pin on the side, intensifying the pinch. Those that do feature the twist pin are better for beginners, while those without are better for more advanced clamp users.

Again, many crocodile clamps come with silicone tips, which help reduce the intensity and are also far more comfortable.

5. Add other types of play

Adding an additional sex toy (or two, or three😉) could really intensify the experience.

There are tons of sex toys for you to choose from. But, some examples that work well with clitoris clamps are anal sex toys, such as anal beads or plugs, sensation nipple clamps, suction cup dildos, bondage toys, and more.

Ready to intensify your orgasms with clit clamps?

Using clit clamps is an excellent way for you and your partner to explore the world of BDSM and see what type of play you enjoy.

If you’re new to clit clamps, I recommend choosing one of the types of clamps and exploring what it offers SLOWLY. Work your way into it by following the steps outlined above. You can always intensify the pinch later.
